Woody’s Journey: Adolescents
How many of you would choose to go back through your teenage years if you could? I am sure there are very few of us who would! It is a difficult time. Trying to figure out who our true friends are, who is getting asked to prom, school, parents, sports, pressure to choose a career, etc., etc…. AND we were doing it with a brain that was changing so fast!
Woody’s Journey: Where It All Began
A little over a month ago, I reached out to a breeder to ask if they would be interested in donating to Lydia’s Hope a puppy who could be trained as a therapy dog. I fully expected her to respond (or not respond) the same way others had. Not only did she actually respond, but she said, “why yes, we decided you could have one from this current litter, can you pick up on Friday”? I was in shock. I was thinking, hoping, maybe next spring, but no, we had a puppy ready to be donated now!! Was I ready? Can I even handle a puppy? What was I thinking asking now?
